Cheese Tortellini in Garlic Butter Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 package Of tortellini 
  • 1 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil 
  • 2 cloves Of garlic minced
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ½ cup Heavy cream
  • ¼ tsp Black pepper
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup Fresh peas 
  • 5 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • rosemary & oregano for garnishing

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the cheese tortellini and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 2 minutes, or until fragrant and golden brown.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper to taste. Continue to cook the sauce for another 2-3 minutes, or until it thickens slightly.
  • Add the cooked cheese tortellini to the skillet and toss gently to coat the pasta with the garlic butter sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the tortellini is heated through.
  • Add the fresh peas and cheese to the skillet and mix gently to coat the pasta with the garlic butter sauce, cheese and peas. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese have melted and the peas are done!
  • Remove the skillet from heat and garnish with rosemary & oregano

Notes

Tips for serving and storing the dish

To serve the cheese tortellini in garlic butter sauce, simply divide the pasta onto individual plates or bowls. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot.
If you have any leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat the pasta in a skillet over low heat, adding a splash of water or broth to prevent it from drying out.
